Welcome to the Richmond Elementary PTA website! Here you can find the latest information about PTA programs and activities at Richmond Elementary School in Portland, Oregon.
Being a member of the PTA makes a difference for your school community. It means our parent/teacher community is large, united, and strong. A robust PTA can work more effectively within the Portland Public School district. It gives you the opportunity to connect with the people, activities and culture of Richmond. PTA intersects with almost all aspects of our schools’ functions and direction. You meet great people and hear news first, you also have a voice in school decision making. Members can vote on all PTA agenda items, including the Budget, Standing Rules, and other hot topic as it came up. No membership means no vote so join today. Become a member and be a part of our great community of Richmond parents and teachers!
At Richmond we have three parent groups. The PTA, Oya No Kai, and Foundation. The PTA provides teacher support, while enriching the student experience. Oya No Kai enhances the cultural experience in the Japanese immersion program, and Foundation raises funds for the staff positions at Richmond.
